I ended up solving the bear problem by dragging a 20ft container out to the acreage. Put a glass sliding door a foot inside the double doors and leave them intact. Weld heavy brackets to inside so that you can close and bar door from inside or outside. At night you bar door from inside, when you leave you close and padlock from outside. Bear isn't getting through the steel walls of the cargo container to get inside.
